Helpful Guidelines when ordering for a large group:
What type of appetite does your group have?
For example - Is it a Girl Scout troop, High School football team, or somewhere in between? On entrees and salads you will see an estimate on the servings per tray. As a general guideline, use the higher number of servings for lighter eaters and the lower number of servings for heartier eaters...or somewhere in between.
Is there going to be multiple entrees or salads offered?
As more food choices are offered, guests tend to spread out their food choices and therefore eat less of any specific item. If you will be offering several choices or courses, use a higher number of servings per person when figuring out how much to order.
Is this event for a snack or a meal?
Sometimes an event is a simple quick slice of pizza before a meeting while others may be full dinners for a hungry crowd. Use the higher number of servings for lighter meals or snacks and lower for main meals.
